The \"terrible challenge\" for content creators today, especially new ones, is no longer about the quality of content, or tricks to make interesting content, but how to \"conquer the algorithm\".<\/p>\n
This is what often frustrates content creators. A lot of good content fails to get picked up just because it's \"not recommended by the algorithm\".<\/p>\n
I feel the same way, although at the moment it's not always \"miserable\". For example, the video that I circled in the photo has reached 3.3 million on YouTube so far, and has successfully invited 30 thousand new subscribers in less than a month.<\/p>\n
But with so many new subscribers, other videos don't necessarily pick up. Our long videos are still averaging between 1000-2000 viewers. Some have reached tens of thousands of viewers, but not many. This means that other videos are not really recommended by the YouTube algorithm.<\/p>\n
Even though the video has 3.3 million viewers on YouTube, the fate is different on other platforms. On FB, it has reached almost 1 million viewers, but on IG it only stuck at 8 thousand.<\/p>\n
TikTok? Not even 200 viewers. And on TikTok it's often frustrating too, a lot of our videos are labelled \"this video is not fit for display\".<\/p>\n
Even though the video is good .. in my opinion anyway haha .. the content does not (directly) violate copyright, contain racism, or violence.<\/p>\n
My guess is that the problem with TikTok is the use of background music. So far, TikTok videos that have exploded are those that use \"hit songs\" provided by TikTok itself. The problem is that many of these songs do not fit the theme raised in De Karanganjar.<\/p>\n
Back to the laptop. If indeed the main challenge of content creators is about how to \"conquer the algorithm\", I'm afraid that in the long run, content creators will prioritise quantity over quality. Content creators will be more busy thinking about gimmicks and outsmarting algorithms in order to go viral, rather than thinking about the depth and beauty of the material.<\/p>\n
Yes indeed .. why make serious and good content, if in the end those who watch are only relatives and friends around whom we send the video link ..<\/p>\n
