A historic moment has been created in Blitar, East Java.
On Monday, 22 April 2024, a declaration of the National Agrarian Reform Synergy Movement was held, accompanied by the handover of the 2024 Land Redistribution Certificates to the people of Modangan Village.
This activity was a collaboration between Pokmas Kaki Kelud, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Defence Agency, and PT Harta Mulia.
The event took place at the East Karanganyar Hall, Modangan Village, Nglegok Subdistrict, Blitar Regency, starting at 08.00 WIB until completion.
The parties who attended this event included the Blitar Regent and his staff; Head of Blitar City Resort Police; Head of Blitar Regency Public Housing, Settlement Area and Land Office; Head of Blitar Regency Research and Development Planning Agency; Head of Blitar Regency Cooperative and Micro Business Office; Head of Blitar Regency Food Security and Agriculture Office; Head of Nglegok Sub-District; Head of Modangan Village; Representative of PT Syngenta Seeds Indonesia; and Representative of PT Harta Mulia.
In his speech, the President Director of PT Harta Mulia, Wima Brahmantya, emphasised that the progress of PT Harta Mulia can have a positive impact on the welfare of the community. Conversely, conducive community conditions also have a positive impact on the sustainability of PT Harta Mulia.
The event then continued with the symbolic handover of Certificates of Ownership (SHM) to five people from the Modangan community by the Blitar Regent, Hj. Rini Syarifah.
The Blitar Regent also gave a speech containing the importance of financial knowledge in managing the land and certificate.
Wima Brahmantya said, "Today, we officially released the land controlled by PT Harta Mulia."
This step is an implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 86/2018 on the implementation of agrarian reform and Presidential Regulation No. 62/2020 on the acceleration of the implementation of agrarian reform.
The plantation land is in the form of HGU which is currently in the process of being extended with two considerations in providing 20% land, namely PT Harta Mulia is a company that obeys the law and as a form of contribution in the welfare of local communities who are descendants of workers or ex-workers in the Harta Mulia plantation," he continued.
Mr Suhali (65), an employee of Harta Mulia plantation since 35 years ago, expressed his gratitude to PT Harta Mulia for helping his family's economy.
"The plantation land given to us as workers is very useful because it can improve the economic level of the community and in the future I want to manage the land with a variety of diverse plants," he added.
Meanwhile, Mr Paulus Wibowo (39), whose family has also worked in the Harta Mulia plantation since the Dutch colonial era, expressed how much the land grant means to him and his family.
"The granting of land to these employees means a lot to me and my family, because the land and house that we used to just occupy, now have become property rights so that they can be managed freely and independently," he said.
When compared to other plantations in Blitar Regency, this activity went smoothly and was full of enthusiasm from the residents.
The hope for the future is to establish a harmonious relationship between the management, employees, former employees, and the community around the plantation such as in terms of security, comfort, and welfare, as expressed by the President Director of PT Harta Mulia, Wima Brahmantya.
With this activity, it is hoped that it can open a new era for the people of Blitar in improving their economic welfare.
