The idea came from the many people who wanted to meet me here to gather information about Blitar's history or cultural arts.
"Why not just make a museum about Blitar's history and cultural arts then?"
Yes. Blitar has an extraordinary history and is rich in cultural arts. But few Blitar people, especially the younger generation, understand their own history and culture.
And after months of struggle, we finally opened : "MOESIOEM MBLITARAN", at Keboen Kopi Karanganjar.
The museum is not large, but there is enough information about Blitar's history, including old photographs of Blitar. Also Batik Tutur, the pride of Blitar, which has been brought by the Dutch for more than 100 years, can be seen here with its various variations. Also if you want to know what the philosophy of Purnama Seruling Penataran is, you can learn it here. Including if you want to know some trophies and world awards to the Blitar Regency Arts Council (DKKB), all of them are displayed here, so that they can inspire the young generation of Blitar to have a world-class mentality.
For painting lovers, we also exhibit some interesting paintings. Such as the painting "Savitri" by Indonesia's legendary painting maestro, Basuki Abdullah. Also the painting "Last Portrait" by Lan Di (China) which, according to the testimony of some friends, can give goosebumps to people standing in front of the painting.
* I deliberately did not upload photos of the inside of the museum, so that it would be a surprise for those who want to come here.
