"The place is cool, but the price of a cup of coffee is too expensive!!!"
That's the testimonial of an embembakak- about OG Cafe in Keboen Kopi Karanganjar.
"Expensive or cheap" is relative, and depends on the object. 1 million rupiah is very cheap for 1 motorbike, but it is very unreasonable for a WC entrance ticket.
But I knew that he was probably comparing the price of a cup of coffee at our place with a cup of coffee at a street stall that costs around 2000 rupiah.
Ma'am, the coffee served in these stalls is usually from sachet coffee products, which are already a mixture of low-quality coffee with corn or rice. That's why it can be mass-produced at a cheap price.
While regular coffee shops or cafés sell "pure coffee", from selected beans, so it must be more exclusive and more expensive.
In cafes, coffee is not just served like that, but there are several serving methods, such as: syphon or V6 Drip for example. Then each type of coffee also has its own story. So there is indeed an "entertainment element" in serving coffee at the cafe. Something like this certainly "has a price", compared to sachet coffee that is just brewed with hot water.
Not to mention that if you count the atmosphere of the cafe that makes visitors feel at home, of course the price of coffee will be different from coffee at roadside stalls.
But is it true that a cup of coffee at our cafe is expensive?
I'll take the example of a cup of espresso coffee sold at Rp. 14 thousand. Expensive? Yes, please survey how much a cup of espresso costs in urban cafes. The average is definitely above 20 thousand, it can even reach 30 thousand.
Does that mean it's cheap? Yes. Because the coffee is produced in-house, and roasted in-house, so we can reduce production costs.
So that's a little lesson on coffee this afternoon. And believe me, OG Cafe sells coffee and other things at affordable prices and a great atmosphere.
Especially if the person serving you is as beautiful as the one in this photo, you're still saying that our cup of coffee is expensive.
